Hometown Teacher of the Game
presented by Teacher Heaven

The Austin Toros are happy to announce that we will be honoring Central Texas area teachers by selecting a “Hometown Teacher of the Game” presented by Teacher Heaven, the one stop shop for all necessary teaching supplies.

Non-Profit Organization Nights

The Toros are proud to offer a program that allows one non-profit organization to partner with the team per home game to generate awareness for their cause and help raise funds to support it. The Toros will spotlight the featured non-profit throughout the night emphasizing its positive impact on the community and ways in which Toros' fans can get involved.

Please support these central Texas organizations by attending an NPO night and getting involved in their important causes:

December 2 – Arms of Hope

Arms of Hope is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit Christian organization that was formed by the consolidation of Boles Children's Home (est. 1924) and Medina Children's Home (est. 1958). Both homes had identical missions and programs and united to achieve efficiency, geographic diversity, increased capacity and additional program improvements and offerings. Arms of Hope helps change the lives of children and families in crisis through various programs.

December 16 – Spirit Reins

Spirit Reins is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization improving the lives of emotionally or behaviorally challenged children with the help of horses. Spirit Reins' programs utilize an emerging type of experiential therapy called Equine Assisted Psychotherapy (EAP). Under the guidance of a licensed mental health professional and an equine specialist, EAP sessions partner children with horses in ways that are designed to help traumatized children learn to build relationships based on trust, respect, understanding, and love. Spirit Reins' programs are a trauma-informed therapeutic approach to counseling.

January 4 – Teen Advocates for Community Safety

The Teen Advocates for Community Safety (TACS) program is a career education program supported by the Cedar Park Fire Department (CPFD) for young men and women 14 to 19 years old. The goals of the TACS Program is to focus on increasing the involvement of teens in their communities, advocate and educate for social change, encourage resource collaboration, and build awareness to their peers on fire safety and prevention, and become skilled in emergency preparedness operations.

March 23 – American Cancer Society

Together with our millions of supporters, the American Cancer Society (ACS) saves lives and creates a world with less cancer and more birthdays by helping people stay well, helping people get well, by finding cures, and by fighting back. The American Cancer Society is a nationwide, community-based voluntary health organization dedicated to eliminating cancer as a major health problem. Headquartered in Atlanta, Georgia, the ACS has 12 chartered Divisions, more than 900 local offices nationwide, and a presence in more than 5,100 communities.

March 30 – Central Texas Children's Home

Central Texas Children’s Home is a non-profit organization providing family services with a Christian influence to those in need. Founded in 1969 to provide residential child care for dependent children, the services have been expanded in an attempt to assist children and families disrupted by problems.
